Location of Geological Feature
Several fossilised stumps of Carboniferous aged lycopods (Lepidodendron and Sigillaria) can be seen outside the Pittencrieff Park Greenhouse at the western corner of the building (the side closest to Pittencrieff House). The impression of the plants bark-like tissue can be seen, and some retain a layer of fossilised carbon.
