Location of Geological Feature
Stone used for the plinth of the bronze statue, an axe-dressed, green slate. Several sources described the plinth as Delabole Slate, but this is incorrect as Delabole is a dark grey, very fine grained slate. This is more likely to be green Cumbrian Slate.
