Location of Geological Feature
Stone used for chamfered plinth around the base of the church. A coarse-grained pebbly quartz arenite, some blocks showing fining-upwards packages in cross-bedded foresets. A very similar facies to the pebbly sandstone used in the parapets of Skeldergate Bridge, York.
