Location of Geological Feature
Main ashlar building stone of the church. As it is "underlain" by a chamfered plinth of pebbly Carboniferous sandstones, it is an ecclesiastical mimic of the Permo-Carboniferous unconformity seen in Yorkshire's bedrock geology.
