Location of Geological Feature
The Logan stone is the large stone at the centre of a gorsedd circle. There is a story that this particular stone was recovered from a Megalithic monument found in the Park. However, the plug and feathers drill holes tell a differnent story. It must have come from Radyr Quarry. This closed before WW1 so the stone has been recycled from elsewhere. One possibility is that it came from Insole Court which is owned by Cardiff City, where there are still several similar stones down the driveway.
