Location of Geological Feature
Main building stone. This building was formerly Wesleyan Chapel. The hornblende-bearing grey granodiorite is widely used in Caernarfon, it is not a local stone and was probably brought in as ballast for the slate ships. It is very similar to both Irish Newry Granodiorite and Scottish granodiorite from the Criffell Intrusion.
