Location of Geological Feature
This plaque commemorates the house were geologist Eduard Suess (1831-1914) was born, 3 Duncan Terrace. He became Professor of Geology at the University of Vienna, and coined the term Gondwanaland for the Palaeozoic supercontinent consisting of S America, India, Australia, Antartica & Africa. The terrace is built of brick and has no other geological interest.
